Electrochemistry excellence since 1923
De Nora has been developing new products and applications, and addressing budding market needs since its inception in 1923. Innovation and research are intertwined with this company's DNA. De Nora started innovating in 1949, when the first industrial plant with the new De Nora mercury cathode cell was installed. Later on In 1978 a new large bipolar diaphragm cell, known as Glanor®, was used for the first time by PPG and in 1980, as a result of a partnership with the Dow Chemical company, De Nora developed new IEM DD membrane cells.
